The “Eskimo Pie’ Is The Latest Food Item To Get Cancelled Because It’s Racist

The “Eskimo Pie” is the latest food to be under fire and is now changing it’s name and marketing to adjust to changing times.  Here’s the quote:

“We are committed to being a part of the solution on racial equality, and recognize the term is derogatory,” said Elizabell Marquez, head of marketing for Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream. “This move is part of a larger review to ensure our company and brands reflect our people values.”

The Eskimo Pie has been around since 1922 and joins other food items such as Mrs. Butterworth’s, Aunt Jemima, and Uncle Ben’s in being cancelled.

And I’ll admit, I’m totally confused by this one.  Someone please explain.
