Yesterday in Palm Harbor Governor DeSantis announced a proposal to give $1,000 bonuses to all Florida public school teachers and principals from Pre-K all the way up to 12th grade. That's about 180,000 educators. According to NBC2 this is in addition to a proposed budget that raises teacher and principal salaries throughout Florida. If his proposal is accepted in the next legislative session the money could be sent out soon.
