Disney’s upcoming Pixar film, Onward, will feature its first LGBTQ+ character. A cyclops cop named “Officer Specter,” voiced by Lena Waithe, will appear in one scene and is Disney and Pixar’s effort to offer inclusion to LGBTQ+ fans.
The “Officer Specter” character references being in a lesbian relationship in “Onward” during a scene that “just kind of happened,” according to the movie’s producer, Kori Rae.
“Onward” comes to movie theaters March 6th.
