Mel Gibson Made A Movie About A Hurricane In PR And Puerto Ricans Are P****D
The trailer for the new Mel Gibson movie “Force Of Nature” is out. The movie is about two white actors fighting a Latino gang and it’s centered around a category 5 hurricane hitting Puerto Rico.

Perhaps it’s a little too early to do a movie about a hurricane hitting Puerto Rico. That damage is still very fresh.
Perhaps it’s because Puerto Ricans are made to look like the bad guys in the movie. Either way, a lot of people were not happy.
Youre telling me, Some Americans make a hollywood film about the most traumatizing event in Puerto Rico history...

It’s outright disrespectful to the people who went through the traumatic experience that was Hurricane Maria, for Mel Gibson and any Hollywood company to come to Puerto Rico and make a movie where the islanders are the bad guys, and he and the white people are the good guys.

Approximately 4,645 people died because of this hurricane. Approximately, because it was bad enough we don't even have exact numbers. People buried their dead in their backyards. People were without food, water, homes, electricity, for MONTHS.

This is not an okay movie to make.
Is making a movie an art that should be protected, or should some things be left alone. I don’t have that answer.
