Naples Principal Who Battled Cancer Got Tons Of Support From Students
A principal in Naples went through a really hard time. Good thing she had the positivity and support from her students to lift her spirits during a difficult time in her life.
According to NBC 2, Jessica Davis who is the principal at Poinciana Elementary School in Naples got an outpouring of support from her students after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019. She had undergone months of chemo and radiation but still managed to show up to work everyday through virtual learning with her students. She received her final radiation treatment last fall and her students celebrated her in the kindest way possible by lining the halls of the school and cheering her on.
We watched the video and could not help getting emotional ourselves. This really shows the impact that they have made in each others lives. We’re also happy that the principal has recovered, this is a beautiful happy ending.
It was a monumental day for our PES Pelicans as we cheered on Mrs. Davis before her last radiation treatment 💖💖. Throughout the past 9 months, she has been a strong warrior and has shown our PES family what it means to be courageous 💕 #StrongerSmarterKinder @collierschools pic.twitter.com/q2qUskuHdL
