Casey Bishop Sings “Over The Rainbow” On American Idol Sunday Night
Estero’s very own Casey Bishop was on American Idol last night and surprised everybody by singing “Over The Rainbow” from the movie “The Wizard of Oz.”
This is definitely a change-up from the rock and roll thunder were used to from Casey, and we’re loving it.
The 16-year-old American Idol star performed on Sunday night during a movie-themed live episode.
The judges and audience were highly impressed with her performance and she was put in the show’s Top 9 singers.
“You can do anything you want!” Katy Perry told her. “You can sing rock, you can sing R&B, you can sing standards, you can sing Judy Garland. It’s all inside of you, and it’s so beautiful.”
Casey will be back to perform on May 2nd.
We are sooooo proud of Casey and we hope she takes it all the way! We’re rooting for her!
