According to NBC 2, the West Nile virus is here in SWFL. This is due to the over load of rain that we have been getting lately and mosquitos laying their eggs on top of the water which allows other mosquitos to spread diseases. The Lee County Mosquito Control District has said that chickens have tested positive for antibodies in Fort Myers, Lehigh, Alva and Bonita Springs.
Well, this is no bueno. If you are going to be outside, best way to avoid being bit by mosquitos is to wear repellent and cover your skin with clothing.
